pyramix template to play back DSD

Hi Guys,

I can not seem to make a session/project_template to play back some dsd files ... some message on the mixer setting setup is going wrong ... ???
using pyramix 9 and the HAPI
what's the trick ???

Wim,
I suspect that you are trying to use the default desk. This is corrupted in v10 as well.
Try the following:
Project > New (Ctrl+N)
In the wizard choose DSD Project
Choose the sample rate you want to use (There is no SRC in a DSD project and you can't mix DSD64/DSD128/DSD256)
Setup your workspace (Or not if creating a template) > Next
Choose "Use Mixer Wizard" > Finish
In Mixer wizard choose > Next
In Configuration Wizard enter the number of channels in multiples of 8 (8/16/24) If you choose multiples of 8 you get a multichannel bus. If you choose an odd number you get a ton of mono busses that take up the whole screen. (Just choose 8...) > Next
Choose "Connect automatically as many inputs and outputs as possible" > Finish (If you skip this step you will get the corrupt mixer message!)
You should now have an empty 8 channel DSD project. Before saving or mounting any media, create a template of this. The template will work correctly.
Also remember, you can't change the DSD rate once you create the project.

thnx, yes that works out OK.
But it creates 8 mono_channels, I can drop my DSF file there, all plays back nice, but is there any option/trick to get stereo_channels ? or is that NON_DSD )))

Wim,
The DSD session is a player recorder only. Fixed routing and no changes to level or processing. If you make an edit it will click. Think of it like a tape machine.
