Hi!
I know this has been asked before, but it was some years ago, and I can´t really find a solution: Is there any way to create a FLAC (or any other PCM format, actually) with a standard L-R-C-SL-SR configuration instead of the one used in Pyramix's surround bus: L-C-R-SL-SR?
Thanks!

Re: Surround configuration
The short answer, no.
I've taken to re-ordering the EDL and manually rendering each clip. Very time consuming. I've made a strong case to Merging for surround delivery via Digital release. Hopefully we'll see it soon.
The other way to do it is with dBPoweramp using the channel mapper. I then use Tag and Rename to copy all the metadata from the stereo digital release files to the surround. It is a bit of a Rube Goldberg, but faster than manually doing the whole thing.
All the best,

Re: Surround configuration
Thanks for your answer, Mark!
The dBPoweramp channel mapper system works great, nice idea! Definitely, Pyramix should allow delivering in a standard surround configuration and doing this via Digital release would be great.

Re: Surround configuration
One other thing to remember is that many media players ignore the channel info in the tag are looking to see a 6 channel L-R-C-Lfe-Ls-Rs surround file regardless of how many active channels there are.
