I RECENTLY UPGRADED TWO OF MY SEVEN PYRAMIX SYSTEMS TO VERSION 5 AND DISCOVERED THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS ON BOTH.
· WHEN USING TWO MONITORS THE RIGHT MONITOR DOES NOT ALWAYS RESPOND PRPOERLY IN REAL TIME TO COMMANDS. FADE ADJUSTMENTS DO NOT MOVE BUT WILL SNAP TO LOCATION WHEN THE MOUSE IS RELEASED. LIKEWISE, WHEN YOU DRAG A CLIP ON THE RIGHT MONITOR IT DOES NOT MOVE UNTIL THE MOUSE IS RELEASED.
· WHEN DOING AN CD IMPORT THE SCREEN GIVES YOU THREE OPTIONS BEFORE SELECTING “CD IMPORT”. THOSE OPTIONS ARE 1. REPLACE THE CURRENT PROJECT BY REMOVING ALL EXISTING TRACKS. . . . 2 APPEND THE IMPORTED TRACKS TO THE BOTTM OF CURRENT PROJECT. 3. INSERT THE IMPORTED CLIPS INTO THE CURRENT PROJECT TRACKS. WHEN YOU SELECT “CD IMPORT” FROM THE IMPORT MENUE IT AUTOMATICALLY DEFAULTS TO 1. REPLACE, ETC. THIS IS A PROBLEM WHEN WORKING ON COMPILING A NEW CD FROM SEVERAL OTHERS.
ARE THESE BUGS OR AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG? THANKS.

Hello Bob,
You are doing everything right.
First point is an issue that has been here for some time, when using dual screen mode with the TimeLine displayed across two screens, even in 4.xx.
(Most people used "Split the editor vertically" in 4x, now called "Display TimeLine on the left of Tab Window" in 5.x, and were therefore not annoyed by the strange clip behaviors when editing in the right display)
As for the second point, we had to temporarily de-activate options 2 and 3 for compatibility purposes with new CD related 5.x features.
The good news is that both these issues have been addressed and corrected in the (very) soon to be released SP1 of Pyramix 5.
Kind regards
