Supported high sample rate plugins

Postby MorganN » Thu Nov 20, 2014 00:44

Hi,

Thought it would be nice with a list of high sample rate compatible plugins for mastering duties.
(didn't find an existing one..)

High sample rate plugins:
Flux: all plugins - 384 kHz, up to 7.1 (8 channels)
Exponential Audio: all plugins - 352.8kHz, up to 7.1
Merging: most of built in plugs in Pyramix
Algorithmix: all plugins - 384 kHz
Audioease: Altiverb XL - 384 kHz, up to 5.1
Fabfilter: ProL, ProMB - DXD
HOFA: all plugins - 384 kHz

VS3:
VB-Audio VS3

Wishlist:
DMG Equilibrium

(tried posting this in Gearslutz and so far only got questions why I wanted to work in 384 kHz...)

Best regards,
Morgan Nicolaysen

Vincent Burel.

VB-Audio VS3 Plug-ins are now 64 bits.
Can only assume the VST plugins will soon follow suit.

Unclear if the entire suit is 384kHz/DXD compatible.

(Thanks for the list. Good topic idea)

The HOFA plug-ins Suite has no limit regarding sampling-rate.
I use IQ-Reverb, that is very good, although resource-hungry.

Great! Thanks for the input!
Adding to the list.

FabFilter Pro-L and Pro-M working in DXD. Will test Equilibrium in the next couple of days.

Thanks, Graemme! Added to the list.
Guess the other Pro plugs also work in DXD..?
Mainly use ProL and ProMB myself, but will check the other Pro plugs as soon as we get the AD/DA cards.

Curious to hear how Equilibrium acts in terms of CPU load!

I'll be surprised if EQuilibrium works in FIR mode/DXD on my aging PC but for me at least, I use it in the less cpu-intensive IIR mode, so that's what I'm most interested in. DMG's compressor 'Compassion' is also really good. Like all compressors, DSD hf-noise can negatively affect sidechain operation, so that really needs to be tested carefully before pronouncing that any dynamics processor actually 'works' in DSD/DXD. (Plain-old 8fs PCM is a different story.)
