Mykerinos ASIO driver problem

Postby youguanxi » Wed Jul 23, 2014 15:24

I've got some problem with Mykerinos ASIO drivers - Merging Mykerinos Board RevE (WDM) TCS4.61 Version 6.4.7.0 (07/10/2009) is installed. MassCore seem to work in Pyramix.
However,
- In VS3 control panel the "ASIO Mykerinos driver" screen, the "Fx In", "Mixer" or "Fx Out" buttons lead to nothing & the field "Buses Mode" is inactive.
- There is no ASIO driver "pyramide" sign in the Windows taskbar.
- VS3 Check crashes every time you try to load a wav file or close the application.
- The same case with any third party application, which can work with ASIO devices: I can see Mykerinos ASIO board enlisted in the properties, but if try use it (playback, for instance) - the aplication would crash down.
What could be the reason?

I have to share new experience: PCI Mykerinos ASIO drivers don't work on Gigabyte Z97 MB. I guess, similar situation with Merging sertified Gigabyte Z87 mobo.
However, Mykerinos ASIO drivers do work (with many bugs, thou) with the very same software setup (Win7 sp1 x86, Pyramix 7.0.10 SP2, JRiver Media Center 19, Foobar2000 1.3.3 with ASIO component v. 2.1.2, & similar BIOS settings) on the old LGA775 mobo (GA-EP43T-UD3L) with native PCI bus support.
Engineer from Merging support team told me, that Mykerinos ASIO drivers are "legacy" & there will be no support provided.
Please, share your personal experience on the topic, if any?
Thanks,
Dmitry

Again, I've had no experience with ASIO/mykerinos. It just seems interesting that you got your above setup to work with LGA775, and nothing new.

You mention "similar BIOS setings". I wonder if there might be emulations settings that should be Off (or On) on your new MOBOs ?
Hyper-threading off ?
Use less cores ? (Pyramix v8 maximum is 8 cores, but earlier versions/drivers/hardware might not tolerate that many ? )
