Hi, Paulo,

I'm not completely sure, but, I think Vangelis have make a mistake: he confused ASIO Bridge and AUDIO Bridge. I repeat, I'm not sure...

PS : in these times of hot weather, fresh and ripe melon, with Porto Rainha Santa is a real treat ... ( this is a fairly common dessert in France, "melon au Porto" )
Next time, I send you a photo :)

PS Bis : Portuguese friends gave us a bottle of excellent Porto...

PS Ter: That's all

Hello Bernard and Paulo.

I have not confused ASIO bridge with Audio bridge, it's how Merging names the apps and their parameters, as Paulo said correctly.
I am also aware that I can't use both apps at the same time.
Haven't managed to rewire yet. When I do, I will post instructions for anyone else having the same problem.

Thank you both

I have selected Rewire in the VS3 panel, selected MT ASIO Bridge in Cubase's 5 device setup, but cannot find any "Enable Rewire" or such thing in cubase. Have read the manuals of Pyramix & Cubase but there's little info on Rewiring.

Hi Vangelis, it´s on page 453 of Cubase 5 user manual. How to activate Rewire channels in Cubase. Regarding the sync, did you choose Rewire in VS3 panel, on the Audio Bridge options? Hummm, this is really weird, why the transports don´t sync. Are both projects with the same sampling rate? What about the two apps reference? Are they internal or external? Are the two cards(Mykerinos and Echo being fed the same clock or are they in a master/slave configuration?
Best regards,

Paulo M

Hi Vangelis,

Have you checked two things : in all settings / formats and synchro / audio synchro ? (for example, if converter master, so, Pyramix slave, so, audio input) if not, you can't play your DAW.
(always better to let the converter in master position)
and frame rate (25 or 30) if you have not the same frame rate in both DAWs and projects, you can't play.

If it can help you...

If not, Forget this message...

I have exactly the same problem as Vangelis.

Just to clarify why Cubase does not work with Pyramix in Rewire mode :

To have two softwares communicating in Rewire mode, one of the software must be in "Mixer" (host) mode while the other is in "Synthesizers" mode.
Cubase and Pyramix both implement the "Mixer" (host) mode of rewire (some other implement both...). Please refer to thelink belwo to know which couple should work together.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReWire

In ASIO bridge mode, Cubase is able to be synchronized in MTC or LTC. Soon without any cable... It calls AppleMidi and is supported by Pyramix 8 and Horus.

Can you point me in the direction of any further information (link?) on 'AppleMidi' and how it actually works?

Also, is there an ETA for Pyramix 8, and will it support 64 bit?

Many thanks in advance

The best is to refer to that web site:

ETA is end of this year (we currently are in release candidate phase). 64bit: unfortunately not (due to third parties). But there is a good hope to have it Q2 2013.
