Merging Technologies

Root of Search Query.
All our SFX files (300+ Gig) are nested on SFX root on our server and are grouped in an Offline Library. It would be nice to have a "Search from Root" Radio Button, that performs a search from a custom defined "/Root of all SFX" Directory. In the current situation each time after I trigger/select/modify a Search result, I have to manually scroll up to the root of SFX, click root, and perform the next query.

Search Results Merge/Consolidate
When working on large series over several month involving a number of episodes, it is often quite handy to make a library of "Search Results". Although with PMX I can Save the Search Results each time I save a project, I cant merge Save Results belonging to the series. Please allow for merging of Query Libraries. Whats in a name

Hi there. We also have Gigs of Fx and have no problem searching an Fx Media folder containing lots of sub folders. It's set up in the "list folders to search options". Eg We have a drive with a Folder called FX with a series of sub folders eg DeWolfe etc and each one of those contains a folder for each CD. So when we search the Pmx looks only in the FX folder and all it's sub folders. Hope this helps

Thanks for your response. However, I still do not know how to setup a "Root of all SFX" for each subsequent search function. Every search I have to manually scroll up in the Global Libraries and tick the root of the Library (e.g."SFX Files").

Also having the "copy results to a library" and "recursive" option ticked pops up a new window with the search results even when "open parents and shelves in same frame" is ticked in the Library Settings. I would really love to have the option to keep that window closed.
