Record Post Effects

Postby Fred FINAND » Tue Feb 11, 2014 20:21

Since version 8, pyramix is able to record "Post effects" BUT : inserted effects are also fed when reading tracks !!! So a compressed signal will again be compressed from read process ! Equalization is applied both ...
Boring ...
I suggest to give up this functionnality but to be able to insert plugs at the bottom of the desk, just below the input XLR.
It could be much more comprehensive that Plugs inserted at the bottom are for the record treatment and other plugs, above the fader, treat the read signal !
Thus, read and record treatments could be differents ! Wonderful :)

Someone agree ?
Enjoy testing !

Yes, it makes sense indeed but I guess it´s not that simple.

How can a playback signal that is fed from a recorded track be diferentiated from a live input patched on the xlr of the same strip? I mean in a overdubbing situation for example?
Best regards,
