MD5

Postby flurdee » Thu Oct 20, 2011 23:48

Not sure if this is more of a Gear issue but would MD5 checksums of the DDP folder´s contents be possible with Disc Write? Most plants I send to prefer MD5.

+1.
Using a separate application (we use "MD5Summer") to generate the checksum for the plant is just another step which shouldn't be necessary.
I assume it's not a GEAR issue, as the Sonoris DDP creator (which costs about 1/3 of Merging's DDP option, too) includes MD5 handling.

We are also using a separate MD5 program - but as CRC32 checksums are already supported I hoped it wouldnt be too difficult implement.
