Cursor should jump back when deleting take

Postby Jakob Händel » Thu Feb 20, 2003 13:45

Hi,

in a recording session, I sometimes decide to delete some recorded takes. After that the cursor stays on the last stop. Then, I always need to replace my cursor to the last starting point. I think it's reasonable to let the cursor jump back automatically as it's like an undo function.
My second suggestion is a LARGE TAKE DISPLAY, saying what the currently played or recorded take number is. This would be very helpful for me and even my clients, too. Does anyone agree?

Cheers,
Jakob

Hi Jakob,

I agree ! It would be a great improvement on location recordings to have the current take number displayed LARGE (for both recording and playback). I would also love to see a LARGE peak margin indicator. Perhaps this could be a simple plug-in we could insert and would display the headroom before clipping with user definable hold times. The peak display on the meter plugs that come with PMX are well implemented but TINY

Best,

Silas
