5.1 and Stereo Tracks

Postby Adrian » Mon Feb 09, 2009 15:38

Hi
Any chance of 5.1 and Stereo tracks in the time line. It would save space if one track could at as a 5.1track instead of having 6.

Thanks Adrian

Alternatively, you could use Track Groups and hide all Tracks but one!

Which in fact saves a lot more space while still being able to see a useful waveform. I think you mean collapse as opposed to hide though.

Hi there

That's how we do it right now. The pain is that the deviding bar between collapsed tracks is way to big. It would be great if that bar could be optioned.

On your tracks Group tab, you can choose whether the bar is shown or not (Show scale) .
However you need to be able to have the choice of then expanding the track or not, which you can either do by going into the Tracks Tab and expanding there or;
The "+ -" on the front of any track allows you to collapse or expand a group. You can re-arrange where this is on the track so that is is displayed when the track is teeny weeny.
Just go into all settings. Track Headers layout and rearrange so that by default the +/- is near the top of the header.

HOWEVER....
I'd still like a collapsible 5.1 stem, but I'd also like to trim the individual levels within the stem. ie changing the level of the centre channel send etc.
