plugins mixer warning

Postby ashok » Mon Nov 17, 2008 21:07

Hi,

due to masscore and better vst implementation in Pyramix, we now use a lot more 3rd party vst plug ins. Today i was re-loading a project after a complete re-install of the system. The project had some vst's in it but these were not installed yet and Pyramix didn't warn me that i miss some plugs. So the mixer was here, just without the plugs loaded and that's it.

It would be great if we can be warned that we missed one plug-in and which one it was. Great thing for compatibility between different mixing rooms and systems.

Have a nice evening.

Hi,

For now this information is only visible in the Mixer where the missing VSTs will have a red strikethrough.
We'll see if we can include an additional warning in the next release.

Thanks,
Ricardo

When a vst plug-in is missing (meaning not installed in the system), i don't see anything at all in the Mixer.

should i see something ?

thank you

Hi,

Yes you should see the VST plug-ins that are missing in the Mixer, they should be displayed with a Red StrikeThrough line, in Pyramix V6(Sp1 or Sp2)

Hi,

The only case would be if you have VST on the Bus in a MassCore project and that you open this project in Mykerinos mode, since the VST on Bus are not supported in Mykerinos mode you will not see them. Otherwise we are not aware of such a problem.

That was not the case.
It was in masscore (vista) mode with 3 mykerinos cards opening a project of last summer done in masscore (winXP).

Opening the project did not warned me about any missing plug ins and there were missing a lot....

Hi,

This dates from Pyramix V6.0Sp1, projects need to be created in this version or higher for proper VST plug-in detection.
