Turning screen off

Hello everybody,
I live in a hot region and I noticed that in summer, my Anubis gets noisy because the fan turns on every 20 minutes roughly... so, I was wondering if is there any way to turn off the screen (now, or if it would be possible with some future firmware update), and if it would make the Anubis get less hot.
