Anubis Firmware and VAD macOS Driver release

Dear Merging Customers,

The Merging Technologies Development Team is pleased to to inform you that we have released new firmware for MERGING+ANUBIS that supports DSD, along with a new VAD (Virtual Audio Device) Core Audio driver that supports the latest Apple macOS.

The new Anubis firmware contains the following new features:

The new officially released Virtual Audio Driver (VAD) support was certified under the following macOS versions:

    • High Sierra - version 10.13.x
    • Mojave - versions 10.14.5 to 10.14.6
    • Catalina - versions 10.15.1 to 10.15.2

Important Note: macOS Sierra 10.2.x and prior versions are legacy and no longer supported by Apple nor Merging. Works as is without Merging Support assistance.

Merging strongly advise all users to verify the compatibility of their mac applications and hardware prior to updating to Catalina 10.15.x.
Merging today recommends Mojave as your operating system.

WARNING: 10Gb Ethernet Adaptors are not certified for VAD usage. Please consider the use of an Apple or Belkin USB-C to ETH adapter if you have such a Hardware Interface.

For more details on this new VAD driver see the new Virtual Audio Device Guide https://www.merging.com/uploads/assets/Installers/VAD_2.1_Q1-2020/RAVENNA-AES67%20Virtual%20Audio%20Device%20Guide.pdf

Hello There,
Thanks for the new firmware, it's great! Can't wait until the Music mission is ready to try out.
Sorry if this has been answered before but what is the current state of development for Anubis compatibility with MacOS Big Sur?
Thanks
