Hello,
Absolute newbie here, so thank you in advance for being patient!
I'm currently using my Hapi (and ADA8S) without a switch going directly into my PC via MAD.
I'd like to do the following routing but I'm not sure how to go about it:
- within the Hapi, route the Inputs of the ADA8S to the outputs of the ADA8S with minimum latency (they will go into an analogue mixing desk)
- at the same time, take the inputs into my PC via MAD so that I can record them (pre mixing desk)
I hope that makes sense. Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards
David

Re: Hapi with ADA8S - routing question
I have not used an ADA8S yet so I can't comment on whether it is possible. However, I can direct you to Aneman, which is where you would do it. See you if you can assign the input to its corresponding output. You can assign the input to more than one output in Aneman so you are not limited there. Here's a video on patching in Aneman: https://www.youtube.com/live/EC6FmAWiIRM?feature=share
If it is not possible to assign the input to an output on this card, you may want to consider purchasing a card with direct outputs like the AKDG8D or AKDG8DP. Then the mixer will receive the inputs post-preamp with zero latency. Let us know how it turns out.

Re: Hapi with ADA8S - routing question
Thank you for the advice.
A quick test confirms it works like a charm, with no discernible latency so far.
I just patched the inputs of my ADA8S card to its outputs with via 'internal device connection' using Aneman. I also patched them to the ASIO Inputs so they are visible as a stream in my DAW. Finally, I'm sending two ASIO Outputs back to the Hapi headphone outputs.
Now I can feed my 'direct' outputs into my live mixer, record pre-mixer into my DAW and monitor the recording via headphones.
