Today my HAPI suddenly stopped outputting audio mid-song, and when I went to check the problem it was acting as if the DA card was no longer installed. That slot was showing as blank.
Rebooting did not fix it, but totally powering down, waiting, and then restarting brought it back.
We'll see if this happens again, but it does not inspire confidence for mission critical operation.
Is there anything I should check or adjust to make sure this doesn't happen again? Or maybe it needs a visit to Merging?
Best,
- J.

Re: HAPI suddenly drops DA card
If there has been oxide building up on the internal connection, removing and re-inserting the card might help?

Re: HAPI suddenly drops DA card
How is the temperature inside the HAPI? It reads like a temperature problem. I had a HAPI with two DA cards installed and the machine couldn't handle all the phantom power. It destroyed two of my hapi's, before it was acknowledged as a bug...but that was already a long time ago. You should update to the latest frimware, that at least cured the phantom problem.
