Hi,
As I’m about to receive my Anubis I would be interested in powering it over Ethernet for simplicity’s sake. Does anyone have a recommendation for a PoE capable switch that plays well with MacBook Pros, windows as well as Mac, and Horus and Anubis?
Poe capable Horus friendly switch?

Re: Poe capable Horus friendly switch?
Hi
Merging is currently looking into a few options.
https://confluence.merging.com/display/ ... NA+-+AES67
It has to be IEEE 802.3at compliant before all, then there are a few other requirements on the switch side.
We'll inform users when available, for now the SG350-10P loks to be the best option.
Best Regards,
Ricardo

Hi Ricardo,
Any chance of reviewing/finding some small switches, its not much fun having a tiny Anubis in the kit bag but then have to carry a large switch to operate it for monitoring.
Regards
David

Re: Poe capable Horus friendly switch?
Hi David,
For now we are still looking into small PoE switch, our best recommendation is a larger than we'd like for Anubis, it is the Cisco 350-10P. Not ideal for travellers.
Find our listing here.
https://confluence.merging.com/display/ ... NA+-+AES67
It's important for a switch to to be configurable, with QoS and that the switch is IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) compliant.
Proposals welcomed. If you find one let us know the model.
Thanks,
Ricardo

Re: Poe capable Horus friendly switch?
Hi David,
Thanks for that.
We had a look at the Ubiquiti switches (they make the Edegswitch
and it is very complicated to configure, so it will be a pain for our users.
As for the GS105PE I beleive that it can be powered with PoE but it cannot provided PoE.]
Anything else lest us know.
Best regards
Ricardo

Hi Ricardo
Is there a complete list of required configuration settings such that we could set up an Edgeswitch ourselves?

It would even be possible to provide a configuration file, as the edge switch's configuration can be exported (and of course imported)
Re: Poe capable Horus friendly switch?
I noticed some small Netgear switches in photos from the Ravenna stand at IBC 2019.
