Cordial Ravenna (rebranded CAT 5) or Cordial CAT 7 for Hapi

Hi,

Does anybody know the preferred CAT standard for the Horus/Hapi interface for long cable runs (75-100 meter)?

Cordial has made a Ravenna version of their CAT 5e (just different jacket), but
they also have a CAT 7 cable with better specs than the CAT5e.

Other options?

Thanks!

Best regards,
Morgan

From what I know so far, Merging has certified use of Cat5e and Cat6. Cat6 will be a better choice for longer cable runs.

There is an existing discussion on the topic of cable run length:

Thanks, Andrew!

CAT7 is backward compatible and the Cordial CAT7 is rated for use with Dante, so it should work (on paper..?)
I also see Yamaha recommends CAT7 for longer cable runs for their gear.

Will continue on the existing discussion. Thanks for the link!
