Using Pyramix native on Macbook Pro 2017/2018

Postby yaveresivoy » Tue Mar 26, 2019 21:35

Hello,

has anyone tried to install Pyramix in a MacBook Pro 2017 or 2018? Any feedback about its performance? Any issues?

Comments are very much appreciated!

Hi!

Late reply, but maybe still useful for some?
MacBook Pro late 2018 here.
Major issues with the T2 security chip. Not a Pyramix problem, it's the same with Reaper.
Dropouts and bursts of white noise all over the recordings. Both in Mac OS/Reaper and Bootcamp Windows/Pyramix 11
Tried Hapi and MOTU 8M, same issues with both.
Various updates and tweaks have reduced but not fixed the problem. Not useable for recording.

Anyone else experiencing problems with the T2? Did anyone find a solution? Our MacBook Pro has been sitting on a shelf for 6 months. Went back to late 2015 MacBook Pro for quick documentation recordings with Hapi/Reaper. Bringing Pyramix PC for everything else.
