Hello!
I would like to know something about Hapi about latency in a native scenario with software like ableton live and cubase.
A) if i use VST instruments like Vienna, that we know is very heavy, what could be the latency in ms that i could ear?
B) if i record audio with heavy DSP in real time, what could be the latency in ms that i could ear?
I use last generation mac book pro I7 with SSD. So i'm considering core audio.
I ask this because now i m using RME inerfaces. I don t like too much the converters but the latency is great. is hapi' latency similar?
Alessandro, thanks.

Re: MERGING HAPI AND LATENCY WITH VST/AU INSTRUMENTS
hi Alessandro,
past versions of Pyramix did not support VSTi or MIDI at all. i recommend you look into this further before trying to use Pyramix for these purposes. it's a great system for recording, editing, mixing, post, etc. i believe the philosophy is that other software (like the ones you mention) are more suited to MIDI and virtual instruments.
cheers,
-charlie

oops, sorry. you may want to post this in the hardware forum instead of the Pyramix Native forum.

Re: MERGING HAPI AND LATENCY WITH VST/AU INSTRUMENTS
No one have made a test about latency with native set up?
Re: MERGING HAPI AND LATENCY WITH VST/AU INSTRUMENTS
Anyone have tested it? Hapi was designed for recording and mastering or can also manage heavy VST intruments and sample library?
