Direct output at mic level?

Postby johanneso » Wed Feb 11, 2015 00:18

Would it be possible somehow to set the Direct Outputs of the ADA8D/ADA8DP to mic level? It would be very useful, even moreso than line level.

I don't own this product, but as with any preamp, the noise floor of a line stage set to the -20 to -50 range would be very high. You might want to consider making resistor pads for each output.

I assume you wish to bring these outputs back into another device which is expecting mic input levels? The other thing to watch out for is blocking phantom power from getting back to the preamp.
