Pyramix 6.2SP1 - VCube 2.2SP1 - Ovation 1.2SP1 Release

Dear Merging Users,

Merging Technologies officially announces new Service Pack 1 releases for Pyramix, Vcube and Ovation! These new versions are compatible with each other.

Pyramix v6.2 SP1 Build 7777 Official Release

This Pyramix V6.2 SP1 includes additional improvements and fixes to the previously available Pyramix 6.2

Pyramix v6.2 SP1 Highlights:

- Record: Current Take Name displayed during recording
- New Sony Track arming Assemble mode option
- New Automation snapshot dialog option "unselect"
- New Fade Editor option to reduce the Memory consumption
- Temporary option to disable Keyboard commands to Mixer
- Pyramix Native: Optimized CPU load consumption
- Automation improvements
- Waveform generation optimization
- Ramses: new ConsoleSoft version with SubGroups support

And more fixed bugs…


Please carefully read the installation procedure and the release notes below.

Installation Procedure:

- Users that already are running Pyramix v6.1MR2 or Pyramix v6.2 can simply perform an upgrade to Pyramix v6.2 SP1
- The Pyramix installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade to Vcube 2.2 SP1 to go along side this Pyramix v6.2 SP1 release.

DirectShow technology support (MP3, WMA, AAC, ..) some additional 3rd party codecs might be needed. For SRC proper support, we recommend that users install the codec packs available here if they haven’t done so already. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5755

For those of you using Virtual Transport the Pyramix installer will automatically upgrade (or install) the VT version.

Ramses users should install the latest certified ConsoleSoft and Edit Bay sets. Available in download here http://www.merging.com/ramses/download/

VCube 2.2 SP1 Build 7777 Official Release

This new VCube 2.2 SP1 version includes additional improvements and fixes to the previously available Vcube 2.2 version

VCube v2.2 SP1 Highlights:

- New Midi TimeCode Input Support
- New USB Sync Reference Status Windows
- New USB Sync Board Drivers
- DVCPro Support with MXF
- MXF robustness improvements
- Avid DNxHD 36 codec stabilisation

And fixed Bugs...

Installation procedure:

- Users that already are running VCube v2.1 MR2 or VCube v2.2 can simply perform an upgrade to VCube 2.2 SP1
- You might be warned of pending requirements at installation, please proceed and install accordingly if so
- The Vcube 2.2 SP1 installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Pyramix to V6.2 SP1 release to go along side VCube 2.2 SP1

This new Ovation 1.2 SP1 version includes improvements and additional fixes to the previously available Ovation 1.2version.

Ovation v1.2 SP1 Highlights:

- SRC playback improvements
- Cue play from start improvements

And fixed Bugs…


Please carefully read the installation procedure and the release notes below.

Installation Procedure:

- The Ovation installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- Pyramix 6.2 SP1 and Virtual Transport will automatically be installed by this Ovation installer. The Pyramix and VT installs can be disabled in the Custom installation options if unnecessary.
- For users enjoying Ovation and VCube on the same system, please be aware that you will need to install a new VCube 2.2 SP1 version.
