Fade Editor audition glitches

Postby Silas » Thu Jun 17, 2004 19:01

Hi,

When using my keyboard shortcut for audition fade I occasionally (1 out of 10 times) will have the left channel delayed. Re-auditioning fixes it. HOWEVER about 1 out of 20 times I get what sounds like full scale digital noise in a short burst out of the left channel instead - the kind of noise that leaves a vapor trail through one side of your head 8O . Anyone else experience this? It seems that when I click on the button to audition it is not as much of an issue (?)

Thanks,
Silas

What audio file format are you working in?

Hi Silas

As you know I will find most problems before anyone but on this one I have not been able to recreate it----since I use the audition button though most of the time I can't say if it is a real problem or a phantom one---I'll keep trying to use the keyboard shortcut and see if it ever occurs

On a different subject----is anyone else having a digital audio burst occur at the end of creating an image----if I don't keep the outboard mixer turned down while rendering the image I get a severe wake-up call at the end of the image creation process

Hi Silas,

Try the analogue output of the Mykerinos card and let us know if you still experience the same problem.

Best,

Graemme

Thanks Jim, Pyro, and Graemme,

I'll try the analog out. I'm still trying to pin this down. It seems to have been more of an issue in certain project files. Perhaps it was just a weird corruption or can be traced to a drive or two that they share. I need to do more sleuthing...

Best to all,
Silas

Hi Silas,

I lately had the effects you mentioned above while using directX. No problems editing after removing the plugins. Maybe that helps.

Cheers,
Jakob
