Hi,

I wondering if anyone on the forum has had any experience integrating the Avid Artist Control or Mix in conjuction with PMX v7.

Do they work well for writing automation? What addition key authorization is required for basic functionality?

Is there another cost efective controller that itegrates well with PMX?

Thanks.

I use the artist mix and I really like it. It's straightforward to set-up and works well - plus it also works well with pro-tools if you're switching back and forth.

You need the Oasis Economy key.

John, the three year old Sonotechnique price-list I have lists it at around $330 CAD.

Sounds about right - it was around $300US when I bought it which was a couple of years ago.

If you are using the Artist on any medium/ large project, Keep an eye on the Eucon.exe process. It can get to over a gig in size and this can lead to problems if you are using masscore/32bitOS.
restarting Eucon does seem to bring the overhead back down.

I also can confirm a smooth workflow with the use of the euphonix controller unit in recording as well as in mixing situations. I own the mc control v2 unit.
Make sure to integrate your controller giving it a static IP in your Network!
