Sphynx 2 + extras for long term hire

Postby queenkong » Thu Jan 21, 2010 01:58

I have recently bought a Sphynx 2 (8 mic in/8 out/Madi interface/ 384hz)

To go with the Sphynx I have a Macbook Pro 17" with a PCI express drive,
a Canon 5d mark 2 (for hd video) and will soon buy:

A Madiface, a Pyramix native music package. A matched pair of UMT70s Gefell mics and am still
checking out which monitors to buy.

This will be a great very high quality portable system which I will use to record small
chamber concerts and also set up in a studio in Tasmania to record some
high quality classical guitar CD's.

Here's the thing, i will be using this gear from March till June this year then will be in Europe
from July-Dec.

Is anyone (extremely reliable) interested in renting my system? Or perhaps the Sphynx 2 for these
6 months. Please send me a msg.

Also if anyone wants to sell me a matched pair of perfect condition Gefell UMT70s, a Madiface or some
good monitors please let me know.

Cheers, Tom

"... sell me a Madiface or some good monitors please let me know.
Cheers, Tom"

Hi Tom,
regarding good monitors I could recommend an extraordinary swiss guy called Jürgen Strauss, who develloped incredible precise and neutral sounding monitors. For more info please feel free to contact Daniel Dettwiler in Basel, switzerland. I bought mine from him. He owns three different models and mostly works with the "big" model, the one the Deutsche Grammophon and Sony have bought more than 40 pieces of....
I am not involved in any commercial interests towards Mr. Dettwiler or Mr. Strauss, but I have been looking for a long time and found them really convincing. We mixed quite many big filmmusic scores with these speakers.
You can see them on his studio website studio@ideeundklang.com
