Recording Problem!

Postby amber » Fri Jun 28, 2002 18:33

Hi! I selected the the tracks to enable to record, and then record. The problem is that there is only one frame clip I recorded. When I use punch in/out to record, everything is fine. Is there some settings I should change?

Please help me.

Hello,

Can you be more precise? What are you trying to do exactly?

Hi, Benoit

I'm trying to record audio into Pyramix.I clicked the record ready button, and then press the master record button.when I stopped recording, the audio clip is onlyone frame .I tried several times, and changed some relative settings, but it is still like that.

when I punch in audio, every thing is fine.
Am I explain it clearly?

Thanks.

How long should be the segment you are trying to record?
Did it ever work before the way you would expect?

The segment is only several frames. It's too short. I can't use this short audio clip to work. I tried many times, but still can not resolve the problem.

Hello Amber,

This is a known problem with Pyramix. You cannot record or mixdown extremely short sound files.

I suggest that you record some sound or silence on either side of the sound that you want, making the recording long enough. Then after it is recorded, you can trim the clip to include only the audio that you want

Try making your recording at least 1 second long. I first ran into this problem over a year ago, while trying to mixdown bass drum samples into individual sound files.

Could you mail me a typical project (without media of course), an export file of your shortcuts and infos about your settings?
