how to import automation data?

Postby Raphael Mouterde » Fri Mar 28, 2008 17:45

Heeeelp!!

I've been mixing for two days a memory heavy EDL and the alternative save function was targeting a saftey drive that wasn't present.
At some point I was unable to save my EDL! No backup and Pyramix crash!

But before it crashed I managed to export the EDL as XML file as well as the automation tracks (other XML file) and the big Mixer.

After the crash I created a new EDL and could import the Mixer, the EDL but how do I import the automation?? The 'Automation track' window allows you to export current version only (not import anything).

And when you import the XML with the normal procedure (import...) then it says there is an Invalid XML Declaration on Line 3? (I guess it is expecting to see an EDL not automation data).

How do I get my automation back?
Answer me quick pleaaase...

Thanks in advance.

Well here is the answer to my problem: clear and simple, you can't import automation data previously exported. It should be a feature of v6.1. So I've been told!

Ciao!
