Merging Technologies

Hi there,

i just bought the Presonus faderport which is a good product as i can't stand doing the automation with the mouse anymore and i don't have the place (and the money) to buy a 24 faders surface control. Works great with Cubase.

I tried to make it work with Pyramix but (despite Mackie HUI) it is a big mess. I tried to edit an XML file but I made a big mess and nothing's better... I don't really understand the way to edit the XML.

Did anyone tried this exercise with success ?
Is there someone at Merging who could spend 1h to make this ?

I have one too...fantastic in Nuendo, OK with Pro Tools and Logic.....Pyramix....well...would be great if it could be sorted.

i made an XML file which is... not bad....
Pan are not working and some other small things but you can do the fader automation and control the internal machine.
i can upload it here if you want to give it a try

The XML file was never good enough to make the faderport a reliable unit for pyramix.
It's not available anymore.

I just read this post, and since I´m also thinking of getting a Presonus Faderport I wonder what ever happend to this thread?!
Of course, it´s been a while since this was last posted...

someone have an XML for faderport???
i can't find it!!

where a user seems to have gotten it right when I was enquiring. Haven't tried myself yet

be very carefull with driver 1.3.5 for faderport
DO NOT UPDATE THE FIRMWARE contained in 1.3.5 package because the motorized fader don't work with this
install the firmware in the 1.2 package driver and update only the driver
