Hi folks I'm looking for a plug in to run with PMX V5.0.18 SP2, that will distort a voice to make it sound like a 2 way radio conversation. A free one that doesn't stall the system would be nice but also happy purchase if it's a good plug.
Cheers
John

Hi John,
One plugin that might be worth trying is Nebula2 from Acusticaudio. I don't know if the effect you want is there - there are various filter and speaker- type effects - but it is certainly worth trying out (and it is free for the moment). Besides, anything that works with Vectorial Volterra Kerneling Technology must be good right!
Sounds great in any case, and it doesn't crash the system.
Cheers,
Tom

Thomas I checked out the Nebula2 site this was the reply:
Among the various projects we are going to sample a REAL radio path (transmission included), using old ones. I don't know when the results will be released... At least 2-3 months I suppose.
So I'm still looking!
Paulo, thanks for the link but no speakerphone available yet.
So I'm still looking!
Lots of speaker cabinet plugs but short on Voice processors.
Cheers

Hello,
You may want to give iZotope Trash demo a go,
http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/trash/
To me this is the absolute must have, not just for guitars, for everything including voices, probably the best sounding distortion algorithms ever made...
Just personnal impression though!
Cheers
