HDTDM bus

Since Mykerinos uses the HDTDM bus, does this mean that HDTDM plug-ins such as those used for ProTools HD may soon be available for Pyramix? That would be something!! :)

Hi Vijay,

Merging's HDTDM bus is not the same as Digidesign's. They are similarly named because they use the same concept (Time Division Multiplexing).

If anybody knows better than this (I'm speculating) please jump in.

Hi Graemme,

That's too bad. ProTools has some pretty great plug-ins which could be of good use. How would you rate DirectX, VST and VS3 plug-ins in comparison with ProTools? Just an overall impression. I'm not trying to put you on the spot :) .

Hi Vijay,

I'm happy to be put on the spot...

I think the plug-ins that are available sound great. I'd like to see more native VS3 plug-ins for Pyramix, but I'd also "settle" for Direct-X/VST automation that works.

The Pyramix native compressor is ok, but Vincent Burel's plug-ins offer a few alternatives that I have found to be more of what I am looking for.

Do check out what he has to offer, as they make a useful addition to the existing VS3 plug-ins.

Mostly, these days, I'm interested in plug-ins that will work at 352.8 Khz sample rate, so that I can use them in Pyramix DSD. Their needs to be *way* more of those...<g> Most (if not all) of Vincent's plug-ins work at 352.8 K
