Solo and Mute in tracks sharing the same repro connexion...

Postby lgabiot » Sun Feb 26, 2006 00:59

Hello,

In the list of the unclear things is the following:

I do often work with project where there is more tracks than physical strips on the mixer, hence the need to share a repro connexion for different tracks.

the thing is then I'd like to use the Solo Mute ability of a track.

From what I saw, I could describe the following behaviour.

For Tracks belonging to the same group (with Solo Mute non grouped), if some share the same repro connexion, it seems that the Solo and Mute are grouped.

If the tracks sharing the repro connexion are in different groups, they do have independant Solo and Mute, exept if the group are duplicate, in which case the behaviour is grouped...

Is that correct? is there other possiblilties, behaviour I'm not aware of?

Two questions arise as corollair:

Using Shift, you can solo (Mute) all the track of the project. Is it possible to Solo (Mute) all the tracks of a group (with non grouped solo mute of course) whith a key modifier of some kind?

Is there a way to listen Solo a selection of clip automatically?

Best regards,

Laurent.

Best regards,

Make a selection on a track and then use the following Pyramix command:

Machines/Internal Machine/Play Selection.

Laurent, do a search here on the forum using the word 'solo'. There's some useful info to be had.
