Pyramix 15 compatibility with Horus

Postby Ollie Becker » Wed Jan 29, 2025 17:32

Hi,

Does anyone know if the upcoming Pyramix 15 release will be compatible with the (legacy) Horus interface?

Cheers,

It will definitely be compatible. Remember, Horus is Merging's flagship interface. As far as MK2 versions and all that, there are some changes to the hardware but at the DSP level including Dante compatibility. For standard Pyramix via Ravenna use, it will be no different from current versions.

That’s great to hear, thanks for your reply!
I’m trying to get my music school to update to from the 25th Anniversary edition but we have three Horusses (Hori?), so compatibility is a must!

The plural of Horus is... Horus. I end up saying, "Horus units" for clarity.
