Hi all,

Pyramix is crashing quite a bit, It's lucky I can't have clients in the room right now...

1. When loading a particular session it freezes everytime on the “Loading Effects State…” screen. I can't open this session.
2. When trying to add a buss with the configure mixer in a particular 88.2 session, the mixer never completely remakes itself. In this state Pyramix has to be stopped with the Task Manager.
3. Sometimes in the middle of a session Pyramix just disappears…
4. Expand all mix busses in the mixer sometimes will not show all the busses available and at those times it is impossible to get to and control all of the buss paths.

I wonder if it could be that you're running the newest Pyramix with a two year old version of Windows 10. Perhaps it's time to consider an upgrade - at least to Win10 1909.

1909 and other older Win10 installers can be found at https://tb.rg-adguard.net/public.php

A helpful ISO to Thumb Drive installer utility is Rufus: https://rufus.ie/
although you can mount and run an ISO file directly from the desktop of a functioning Win10 installation.

Hi all,

I updated to Window 10 ver 1909, and spent the time to go through all of the config settings again with the new OS. I have now tested some of the issues and those crashes are still happening. So far Pyramix has crashed while open, one moment it is there and working and the next it is gone. I tried opening an old session that was refusing to open and it actually opened and then promptly crashed.

Are you using templates made in a previous version of Pyramix? I've (sometimes) seen this cause problems like what you are reporting. Try re-making your template (especially the mixer and it's plug-ins) in the current version.

Sometimes there is a the need to use the 'Cleanup Tool' to get rid of all traces of Pyramix from your system before re-installing. The tool, if available for PMX 13.x, can be had by asking Merging support to send it to you.

It may be worth doing those steps in reverse order: Cleanup Tool, re-install and re-create templates/mixers.

Thanks for the good wishes, the same to you...

And thank you for your response... I have written Merging support about the clean-up tool... I will follow through if I can get my hands on it... I don't use templates much, at least that's not an issue in these instances but will keep that in mind for the future. I did call up sessions originally from previous Pyramix versions/hotfixes and one of them would crash consistantly with Windows 10 1803 early in startup and with Windows 10 1909 it actually opened and I could see the session and then it crashed... I'll leave it there and wait to move forward with troubleshooting when I can get the resources to work on it.
