Bars and Beats / Metronome Issues

Hi everyone,

I am having trouble with Bars and Beats in V11.1.6 Build 284.

First, I am not getting any metronome on my mixer (I remember this being a bug a few versions back, and one had to switch bars and beats off and on again for the metronome to appear). Building an audio click track is not really an option as I have to be flexible with the tempo.

Also, I am trying to set up a project with a continuous two-bar Time Signature - so, 7/8 - 8/8 - 7/8 - 8/8 etc. This seems impossible to establish in the Bars and Beats Settings, because I can only select 1 Time Signature at once and there is no way to set the 2 Time Signatures to infinity *together*. I am not going to add hundreds of Time Signatures...!

Surely, I am missing the obvious?

Obviously, the workaround is to have a 15/8 Time Signature set to infinity, but then the bar numbers do not correspond to the score. And, if I ever get the metronome on my mixer, there won't be a Bar-sound at the beginning of the second bar (which is really helpful for the artists in this case).

Have you tried updating Pyramix to the 11.1.6 release, and does the problem persist?

Oops, that was a typo - I am running V11.1.6. Build 284 on Win7 Pro.

I now managed to get the click on the mixer - it was a silly mistake. For some reason, toggling on/off the Bars and Beats Scale removed my transport tool bar. I was not aware that the Metronome tool bar is part of the timecode tool bar, and that the default setting is off...

So, now I have a click but still the wrong time signature 15/8 instead of 7/8 - 8/8. Is there any efficient way to get this done?

Just out of curiousity, would importing a tempo map created in another programme work?
