I've been sent some wav files as the basis of a project. A lot of them! When I open these files on Windows media player, foobar, sadie, sequoia, etc. In addition to its file name there is also a file title, in reality its the CD text that's become embedded in the file. in fact the files were even created using pyramix i'm told.
I cannot for the life of me get this information to display anywhere in my pyramix. I would have hoped the information was displayed somewhere in media manager but no. It would be so helpful just now.
Anyone got a suggestions

Nothing in the Metadata Tab/Window?
(You may have to go through the main View menu to see this). There are a couple of controls there which can import data (to the Tab) from a file or from a selection mounted on the Timeline.
Are any of the files above 4 GB in size?
Take a look at the "Archiving Metadata" section in the manual for more info.

As ever the font of all knowledge! Thanks!
Never knew that window was there! Yes that function does indeed display the info i want but its next to useless in this context. The info can only be displayed on a single file or clip basis and this information is forgotten once you move onto the next.I suppose I was hoping to find the information somewhere on the media manager tabs.
Anyway its not going to lead me to abandoning pyramix just yet!

If you go to Settings>All Settings>Timeline Layout>Compose Clip text out of..... Do any of those options throw up the information you need if you dump he clips into the timeline?
If you can't see the information in Media Manager then you can select the media folder, go to View (in the Media Manager tab) and select options. you can then edit which columns show up in the media window. Some data fields get filled by other programmes in odd ways, had in once when bringing files across from an old version of SaDie.
