If I'm automating plugin parameters on a given channel that in turn goes to a bus which then gets sent to an internal bus and recorded on another channel... the automation takes place not where I've placed it visually on the original channel but seems to get delayed. As I turn plugins on and off in the mixer not even relating to the channel I'm automating, the automation moves around. Aligning automation to a bus does not seem to help this issue.
My guess is that the automation is affected by the total delay compensation somehow so I must be doing something wrong here. What might be the problem you think?
My workaround at the moment is to measure out exactly the delay of the automation and move it ahead the intended point by exactly that amount.
Why is my automation delayed?

Re: Why is my automation delayed?
Hi Plec,
I assume you have toggled the pull down next to the transport on bottom of screen and chosen Fader Alignment: 'MBx' - choosing whatever your final mix bus name is? I suggest RESETTING that to None and then put it back to 'your Mix Bus' a few times. You'd have to do this every time you open the project.
I've noticed that this setting is not respected when opening the project each time resulting in a delay since your chosen alignment is not actually in effect..
Hope this helps,
Silas

Re: Why is my automation delayed?
Hey Silas!
Yes, I've experimented with different settings here but I'm experiencing a delay up to a 10 fold of what these different options seems to change. My delay compensation is handling about 26.000 samples and my automation delay is around 12.000 samples from happening in the right place. The different Fader Alignment options seems to change this but maybe a couple thousand samples back and forth which in this case would lead me to think the problem is somewhere else?
