Pro Tools Export

Postby Stephen Rinker » Fri Jul 19, 2019 14:12

Hi

I'm not a protools user and have been asked to export a project as OMF to import into Protools. I notice you can import OMF pyramix but not export. I guess there is another format that might work for them.....There's lots and lots of files so it would be good if i can oblige.

Thanks

Stephen

OMF is/was an older "universal" exchange format, which was supported for both import and export in earlier versions of Pyramix - I think export support was dropped around version 9 or 10. Newer versions of Pro Tools should support the AAF protocol (as does Pyramix). You'll have to work out with your PT associate which format of AAF works best, but usually, the "media-embedded" version works best. Read the Pyramix manual on page 485 for recommendations.
