CD/SACD Tab

Postby PeteSfz » Mon Dec 18, 2017 04:46

Hey everybody,

Has anyone else managed to loose the CD/SACD tab from the workspace??
I went to create a CD today and found it has disappeared!!??
It is not listed in the Tabs menu.
Tried enabling it under general setting, resetting the tabs to default etc etc, no luck :(

If I open a older project (maybe from a previous software version-not sure) it's there.

Also, I don't seem to be able to insert CD start/stop/index markers.

This is on our MassCore system.

You're not the first to encounter this issue - see viewtopic.php?f=14&t=13605&p=39154#p39153

It's possible that the Tab has become hidden in your Settings > Desktop Layout...

Easy to do. The red X in the top right hand corner of all those tab windows should only re-dock them back and not hide them.

Actually, the default behavior of PMX is to close the window, not re-dock. You need to go into settings>Application> Desktop Layout and choose "Dock back floating tabs when closing them"
This whole issue of tabs being unreachable typically comes from switching between dual and single monitor systems. When opening a project on a single monitor after being on a dual monitor system, the tabs that were on the second monitor are just visible at the very edge of the monitor. Often you can grab the corner and drag them back in to the screen.
All the best.

Thanks Mark. One wonders why anyone would want to hide them ad-hoc and exclusive of the template settings.
