Hello my kind knights,
what is the purpose of a AAF non-embedded export, when the exported audiofiles are in .pmf format? In PMX 9 there is no option to convert these non-embedded audiofiles to an open format, such as .bwf of .aif.
I am doing an export to a client that demands a non-embedded export to Premiere Pro. This is what I found on this topic on the Adobe fora:
"‘Premiere Pro does support AAF import, but it cannot use AAF with embedded media. You'll need the original media files to relink the translated sequence.’
Can someone please help me here? It is quite a lively timeline, stacked with .pmfs (with handles) How do I get this delivered to my customer as an AAF with either .bwfs or .aifs????????

Re: PMX 9 AAF non-embedded export to .bwf
Can you not use the Project menu > Archive function? I believe you'll have to "Consolidate" your media, and then add Handles, but this process gives you the opportunity to select your output media file format. Then open the Archived Project to export the AAF.
