Restoring missing audio ch in timeline after clip inserted

Postby DJS » Sat Jan 14, 2017 22:40

I have some multichannel audio clips inserted and edited (SD) in the timeline. Problem is the mixer channel assignments were incorrect when the clip was inserted (placed) and I now want to change them and not reinsert the clips. Is this possible? How does one add a channel to the timeline and populate it with audio that is in the file, but not have to reinsert the clip.

It seems to me that PMX can only populate audio into a timeline lane on clip insert. Also, one can assign an input to a timeline lane for recording data, but wouldn't it be good to be able assign a channel from the audio file the same way when not recording, ie when editing?

OK, I have successfully copied the clips/edits from one SD project with the incorrect channel assignments to another SD project with correct channel assignments. This is really good to know.
