After several successful clean ups on the same file, an error "Failed to create media from rendered data" appeared. Re started Pyramix, rebooted computer but still problem remains. Any suggestions?

Re: Renovator Problem
Most likely culprits are either
- A) there is a file that already exists with the same name
- B) the volume is read-only

Mark

Thanks Mark - that solved it
Re: Renovator Problem
Glad to be of help Larry.
There really should be a warning asking to rename the file or save it elsewhere...

Yes, the modern standard. PMX disobeys this standard too on a Mixdown if the file already exists, just fails. Very annoying. Also having to double click a checkbox, another weird one.

Re: Renovator Problem
I encountered the same problem. "Failed to create media from rendered data" error in Pyramix Renovator.
The disk is not read-only and the file does not exist with the same name. Trying to save to another disk gives the same error. What can be the cause of this error?
I have worked with 7 files(7 tracks) simultaneously. After clean-ups, I saved each track to separate file. First 5 files were written without any problem, as many numerous times before. No problem. Suddenly this error appeared when trying to save the 6th file. On the 7th file, it failed as well. No clue why this is happening.

Re: Renovator Problem
Hi,
You need to have the option to create media with a unique name selected, otherwise there’s a high chance Renovator will try using a name of a file that already exists.
Cheers,
Tom
