anti-virus/anti-malware with Pyramix?

Postby Swineshead » Fri Sep 18, 2015 23:57

Could people share their experiences with the least obtrusive anti-virus and/or anti-malware? I have Kapersky but would like to switch to something which hogs fewer resources. I'm having issues with audio-over-IP in spite of my having "protected" the IP addresses in Kapersky..

Thanks,

Hi,
you can forget "anti-virus" (expensives gadgets, I don't use it since 15 years) only use : "Microsoft security essential" (free, works in backround, and "light" ) and let the Windows firewall working. You can create exceptions in both softwares. Et voilà :)

Best regards,

Bernard

And on top of what Bernard said, I always have my antivirus disabled when working, plus the network connection. When I need to update or connect to the net, I simply connect and enable the anti virus.
