I understand that a new software upgrade (4.1?) is expected soon which gives Pyramix more "Sonic-like" features and some essential things such as multitrack sync whilst working in the edit fade window.
Is there an expected release date for this upgrade? I've been putting off buying Pyramix until I've seen this new version......

Next software upgrade?

Software update
Just got back today from a Pyramix training day. I was told that the new 4.1 software is likely to be released around Autumn time. I've seen the Beta version, both when I had the system in on dem, and briefly today.
Buy it! This system is awsome, both in flexibility and features, and bear in mind that the system in its present format has only really been around 2 years. Merging are really helpfull and software developement/improvement seems to be their no 1 priority.
If you are in Audio Post, digital editing, PQ mastering or want a virtual multitrack this is for you. Sonic solutions have recently been sold off to a management buyout allowing Sonic to concentrate on their core DVD products, doesn't seem to be much information available as to what their plans might be, and Sadie are emailing customers with a price drop, but it still works out dearer than Pyramix with less features IMHO.
Regards
Roland
