Masscore and Ultra Low Latency

Postby Sylvain94 » Fri Feb 22, 2008 17:25

On my pyramix, when i select Ultra Low Latency, i have a lot of sync pb with my monitoring interface (clic).

My combination :
Masscore 48
X30 - AES SRC
Avocet in AES

AES 1-2 go to Avocet for monitoring.

I've also seen that the jitter is very high and have some "peak of jitter" during this clics.

I had same problem.

But I could solve this problem, increasing 'Playback buffer size' until no click noise.

try this.... :D
PMX 12 + Masscore + Windows 10 + Hapi + Anubis

Hi Sylvain,

Please verify the DMA load (debug>DMA load) it might be a good thing to work in Extra Low latency in this case. It will depend of your workflow and if you use plug-ins or not.

Ricardo

Hi Sylvain,

Glad to know that it is now working, note that we are still benchmarking different daughter-cards that could have difference performance values in Ultra Low Latency.

A small note on the Pyramix V6 latencies.
Note: Please be aware that some of our competitors only take in account latency from Live In to Record; in our case this would means 0.665ms in Ultra-Low, 1.33 in Extra-Low and 2.66 in Low Latency. But, since from Live In to Live Out is the ‘real-world’ figure, we calculate it as 1.33ms , 2.66ms , 5.33ms respectively.

Regards,
Ricardo

Hi know that, but even if Extra Low latency is ok for me (i can deal with it without pb), this post was for mentioned that bug in Ultra Low Latency.
