alpermann & velte timecode generator

Postby huub » Mon May 21, 2007 19:30

Hi,
It seems that pyramix has a problem with the ltc signal from a A&V timecode generator? this generator has some additional information in the tc signal, wich is ignored by all our other (betacam, evs) machines, but pyramix only sees ltc every half second or so, and loses the signal in between..
Is this a known problem?

Hi,
some time ago I had problems with proper timecode reading too. It was a different setup with pyramix feeding its LTC into an external machine. The dropouts you describe sound similar to the ones I had. In my case the problem was that the volume level of the signal was a bit too low. By increasing the level the problem was gone. I´m not sure if this helps in your case, but maybe it´s worth a try.

regards,
rainer
