The Merging Technologies Development Team is pleased to announce the HotFix release of Pyramix 8.0.12 build 19887, VCube 4.0.12 build 19887 and Ovation 4.0.12 build 19887.
Horus users can install the latest certified firmware (build 19243)

Please note that these 3 versions require the set of keys (v8/v4). Do not install these versions before you have received the new required keys for your system(s). Please contact your Merging Sales Partner for further questions.
Important:
The Pyramix 8.0.12 HotFix version contains only the following fixes
HotFix Bugs resolved:
MT5215: Fixed. Pyramix can hang if using mouse or ISIS jog
MT5247: Fixed. Plug-ins automation might turn to Isolate when reopening a project
MT5238: Fixed. Album Publishing can crash if both Contiguous and one file per track are enabled for the same output format
MT5240: Fixed. Pyramix generated MP3 ABR (VBR) will report wrong playback time on most MP3 players
MT5203: Fixed. DiscWrite: Cannot open SCSI device error, preventing usage with USB Drives
MT5252: Fixed. Medias such as mp3 were reporting the Media Name in place of the Track Name
MT5220: Fixed. Jog/Shuttle can remain blocked (cannot move slider) when using ASIO drivers
MT5221: Fixed. MassCore registry path error when starting Pyramix
The Ovation 4.0.12 HotFix version contains only the following fixes

Pyramix v8.0.12 HotFix build 19887 Official Release
This new Pyramix 8.0 version includes Merging Technologies’ Horus Networked Audio Interface Ravenna support, new features, improvements and bug fixes.
Horus is more than just a converter. Using Ravenna technology, Horus brings to the table the possibility to interconnect your entire facility using nothing more than a standard RJ45 connector. Once Pyramix v8 in MassCore - Ravenna mode, the Horus box simply becomes a node on a network, one that can be instantly called to be an input, an output, or a combination of both. Using standard network connections, switches and connectors, Horus and other Ravenna-enabled devices can be placed on a network and interconnected IN ANY WAY YOU CAN IMAGINE.

INSTALLATION:
WARNING: Users currently running in MassCore on a Core2Duo should NOT update to Pyramix v8.
WARNING: Make sure that you have receive your new v8 keys before proceeding with the v8 Release (v7.1 keys are not valid)
- At Pyramix v8 install you might have a “Bonjour” pending requirements, please proceed with this installation and afterwards the Pyramix installer will start. Once Pyramix is installed it is Mandatory that you reboot your system.

- Users that need to run Pyramix and VCube on the same system configuration will have to install VCube 4.0.12 along with Pyramix v8.0.12
- The Dolby E (Encode/Decode) comes now as a separate installer and is no longer bundled within the Pyramix installer.

NOTES:
- Pyramix 8.0 projects are NOT compatible with the previous Pyramix Releases. In order to open such projects in an older Pyramix version please make sure that you perform the proper Save Special, a new “Save as Version 7.1” entry was added. The same applied to Libraries as there is a new save as v7.1 option.

MT USB Sync:
Users experiencing a MT USB Sync slowdown at start up should be reverting to the previous USB Sync driver v 1.0.15

The Ravenna Driver will allow the running of Ravenna in ASIO (PC Windows) with your Merging Technologies Horus converter. Users installing the Ravenna ASIO driver should remove their previous installed version under the Windows Programs (if ever you had a pre-beta version installed). Merging plans to eventually release a Core Audio driver for Mac users. Documentation and links below.

VCube v4.0.12 HotFix build 19887 Official Release
This new VCube 4.0 version includes improvements and bug fixes. The VCube 4.0.12 version is in sync with the Pyramix v8.0.12 release.

Installation procedure:
- Make sure that you have received your new v4 keys before proceeding with the VCube 4.0 installation
- Merging recommends that you remove the previous version of VCube installed prior to install VCube 4.0
- You might be warned of pending requirements at installation please proceed and install accordingly if so
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Pyramix to v8.0.12 release to go along side VCube v4.0.12
Notes:
- The Dolby E (Encode/Decode) comes as a separate installer and is not bundled within the VCube installer. Please contact support@merging.com in order to have access to it.
- Only one ASIO device will be listed and can be used with the current VCube 4 installer.
