Saving of Render (Convert) settings...

Postby J.Wajer » Wed Feb 04, 2009 09:49

Please allow saving of all the different Render (ctrl-R) settings to a file. I use a lot of different settings (MxF, QuickTime, MPEG, AVI, etc...) with different resolutions. Whenever I reinstall I am forced to remake those.

There appears to be some confusion here between the Render page and the Record page. The Render page already has presets.

The ctr+R shortcut calls up the record page of VCube so I'm going to assume that that is what you meant to make reference too in your new feature request.

The record page extrapolates the file resolution and audio sampling frequency for files to be recorded from the current composition resolution and sample frequency (taking into account that the AJA boards always work at 48kHz while the Mykerinos boards permit the user to choose the sample rate starting from 44.1kHz). The current record settings section does not allow for presets of file formats or settings of any kind so this enhancement request is taken into consideration and has been added to our database for implenatation. Good idea! MT3255

Bye the way the render preset can alway be accessed and restored here : C:\Program Files\Merging Technologies\VCube\RenderPresets.xml
Before you uninstall and totally clean up a VCube in order to retrograde the version, copy this file elsewhere, re-install VCube and replace this .xml.
