No Difference in Filesize between IMX-30 and IMX-50

Postby J.Wajer » Thu Oct 16, 2008 10:07

I am in the proces of delivering digital content and I am running some tests with the IMX/MXF format. I have tried Encoding IMX-30 as well as IMX-50, but there is no difference in filesize? I suspect this to be wrong, since IMX-30 uses 30Mbit/s and IMX-50 50Mbit/s. But then again... I might be wrong. Please enlighten me :)

Hello,

I confirm the problem. To be fixed in SP1.
I didn't found any workaround yet.

A 30 seconds MXF encoded file has filesize: 156 Mb. To what IMX does this correspond? I cant fit either in 30Mbit nor 50 Mbit.... So my question is: what format is used now?

Hi,

I've got a workaround!

Problem:
IMX 30 (if IMX 30 is checked) and IMX 50 have the same size.
IMX30 is never reloaded by VCube even if it appears as selected before quiting the application.

Solution:
If IMX50 is unchecked, to select IMX30, after an application restart, IMX30 is still selected, and the rendered media are rendered in IMX30.
