Nope.

Yep. The Prosoniq MPEX3 Time/Pitch Scaling is listed as an optional add-on in the 2009 pricelist I have, but I think I read somewhere on the forum that it may be discontinued - can anyone confirm or deny this?

I had a look at the élastique pitch plug-in (VST) from zplane - http://www.zplane.de/products/plugins/elastique-pitch - which sounds pretty good and can be dynamically controlled by Pyramix's Automation. Sadly, the values that Pyramix's automation sends to third party VST plugins are too coarse to achieve fine control of élastique. It would be really nice if the Merging folks would have a look at this and maybe come up with some sort of intermediate scaling multiplier that would allow a greater range of Pyramix automation values to cover a smaller range of élastique's control values (thereby, allowing finer control).

I believe that the élastique "engine" is available for licensing by DAW developers, and is already incorporated into Sequoia by Magix.

Another option would be the standalone version of Izotope RX2 Advanced, which has a pretty good sounding pitch/time manipulation tool.

hi thanks for the answer, the reason i was asking if pyramix has it built in, was for the fact that i use it a lot for sound design,
using a stand alone application is ok but its too many buttons to press for a very simple function, Time Stretching is intergrated into any other DAW on the market, even free on Reaper.
so the guys in merging need to think about it, cause pro-tools 10 is looking very attractive.

cheers

Even so, Merging's "build-in" time stretching tool requires a lot of button pushes. Definately better in PT 10....and as you say Free in Reaper!

As far as I know, the MPEX time stretch is included in the Pyramix package as standard. At least in the post pack:

http://www.merging.com/products/show?product=1&page=4

When I bought my second Pyramix system in 2009 was already included.

Not all time stretch algos are the same, free or not. I find the standard one in PT not that good either. However the user implementation is better than in Pyramix.
Best regards,
