Hi,
Whats the best way to export your project so each marked area can be exported in to separate files.
This would be similar to Samplitudes export feature which exports a separate file for each cd marker
Thanks

Is "render" used in the project menu or "mixdown"?

Depends on what you want - Render is pre-mixer, Mixdown is post. Render's Track count is the same as that of the selected Clips'. Mixdown's Track count is that of the selected Mixer Output Bus. Render can have specific effects applied (or none at all) with changing track levels controlled by Clip Gain - ignoring what's going on in the Mixer. Mixdown can be automated. Either process creates only a single output at a time.
To get multiple sections of a project exported automatically to a number of different files, you would have to use the Publishing feature configured through the CD creation Tab and executed through the Project > Create CD/SACD menu item, whose output is always post-mixer.

Re: Exporting into seperate wav files
Thanks for the response this helped a lot.
Was staying away from the disc creation because I was setting up the files for digital delivery.
As a feature request in future releases since digital delivery is so popular a simple Export feature and have the tracks split at the markers
would be much easier instead of going thru the Disc creation portion.
Thanks for the help

Going through the disk creation process allows you the opportunity to create and edit the meta-data for those file formats which use it. Apart from that, you're simply dropping markers at the beginnings and ends of the various sections and then going through the creation process which allows the choice of destination.
I agree that grafting the Publishing features on top of the existing CD creation routines is a kludge at best, and a more dedicated and streamlined process would be welcome, but, once you get used to it, it's not all that tricky.

Re: Exporting into seperate wav files
The nice thing about the Album Publishing is that you can create multiple formats at the same time, and also run Final Check metering while you're creating those files. If you use Mark Groups to create a CD marker for every clip or group of clips, add the name of the marker to the CD text, then it's just a few clicks to output the format you'd like. You can also choose to leave out the gaps.
Cheers,
Tom
